Useful Information

Parking

There is plenty of free parking on site. When approaching the Golf Club, please follow signs to the car park.

On arrival

On arrival please visit the Mercedes-Benz promoter unit at the entrance of the club house.

Changing rooms
Changing rooms are located inside the clubhouse on the lower level. A small number of lockers are available at a cost of £1, which will be refunded once you have finished using them. Access to the changing rooms is via a secure door, the code for this will be given to you at the registration desk in the Mercedes-Benz promoter unit.

Refreshments

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea will be served in the Spike Bar. Refreshments during your round will be available at the half-way house.


Driving range
The driving range is located next to the main car park. Tokens are available form the Pro Shop or the bar and are free of charge. NB: Shots played from the range must be played from the mats not from the grass.

Putting greens
The main putting green is located next to the driving range. A further green is located near the 1st, 10th and 13th tees, directly behind the clubhouse.

Format of play
You will either start from the 10th or 13th tee (your confirmation email/letter will tell you which). Gentlemen should play from the yellow markers whilst ladies should play from the red markers. Please meet at your tee 10 minutes before your allocated tee time. Course planners are available from the Pro Shop at a cost of £5.50.

Score cards
Score cards will be given to you at the registration desk. Please swap your score card with one of your team members to mark and sign at the end of your round. Stableford scoring must be used. Once you have finished with your score cards, please hand them back to our event staff.

Longest drive and nearest to the pin competition

The longest drive competition will take place on the 2nd hole. The nearest to the pin competition will take place on the 8th hole.

Mobile telephones

Mobile telephones are absolutely forbidden on the golf course and in the clubhouse.

Course Dress Regulations (Gentlemen)

You are respectfully asked to observe the dress rules and traditions of the Club.

  • Shorts may be worn with knee-length or short socks.
  • Short socks must be white, with or without a discreet logo and must cover the ankle at least 4” above the upper shoe line. Hidden or quarter socks are not permitted.
  • Long socks must have turn-over tops.
  • Trousers and shorts must be tailored and must not have external pockets.
  • Shirts must have a collar and long or short sleeves.
  • Shirts must be tucked in to trousers or shorts at all times.
  • Caps must be worn only with the peak at the front.
  • Trainers – other than golf shoe style – are not permitted.

Course Dress Regulations (Ladies)

On the course

  • Golf tops should be acceptable golf apparel. They should have collars, be smart and tailored when worn outside skirts, shorts or trousers.
  • Shorts, skorts and skirts should be tailored and an appropriate length.
  • Blue denim jeans, cargo trousers (or shorts), track suits or jogging suits are not permitted


In the Clubhouse

  • Ladies should conform to the general dress code of the Club when attending functions in the Clubhouse
  • Trainers are not acceptable, nor are denim jeans or skirts.

Directions to Ashridge Golf Club

Address - Ashridge Golf Club, Little Gaddesden, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 1LY.

Ashridge is situated on the B4506 approximately 5 miles North of Berkhamsted.

From M25 - Leave at exit 20, take the A41(dual carriageway) towards Aylesbury. Leave A41 at the Chesham exit - A416. Follow signs to Berkhamsted. At traffic lights on the junction with Berkhamsted High Street turn left. After a mile or so, reach Northchurch. Turn right by School and Church onto B4506 (called New Road) sign posted Ashridge. After approximately 3 miles, the Club is on the right hand side. Follow the private road to the clubhouse and car park.

From M1 southbound - Leave at exit 11, turn under Motorway towards Dunstable. In the middle of Dunstable, double/offset mini roundabouts (where A5 crosses) go straight across - stay on this road for about 2 miles. After leaving Dunstable you will reach a roundabout with the Monsoon Indian Restaurant on the right, turn left onto B4506 signposted to Dagnall. Road runs along the bottom of Whipsnade to Dagnall. Straight across mini-roundabout at Dagnall, up the hill into Ringshall and the Club entrance is sign-posted about ½ mile further on left. Follow the private road to the clubhouse and car park.

From M1 northbound - Leave at Exit 8 - straight across all roundabouts until reaching the 'magic roundabout' in the centre of Hemel Hempstead. Turn right around roundabout and take the A4146 to Leighton Buzzard. Stay on this road for about 7 miles, going over the narrow bridge at Water End, until reaching the mini-roundabout at Dagnall. Turn left onto the B4506. Up the hill into Ringshall and the Club entrance is sign-posted about ½ mile further on the left. Follow the private road to the club.
